Carl Sagan was an American astronomer. His famous text “Pale Blue Dot” is an excerpt from his 1994 book “Pale Blue Dot: A Vision of the Human Future in Space.”
He wrote this essay about our planet and its fragility in reference to the famous picture taken on February 14, 1990, by the Voyager 1 space probe from a record distance of about 6 billion kilometres.
