The giant panda lives only in central China, in mountainous regions covered with high altitude forests.
They feed mainly on bamboo, while they are part of the order of Carnivores.
It can weigh 80 to 150 kg and can be 1.50 to 1.80 meters tall. The panda is black and white.
The female panda can give birth to 1 to 3 babies after 5 or 6 months of gestation.

The giant panda is endangered because humans cut down a lot of bamboo which means that these pandas
no longer have enough bamboo to eat. Its habitat is being destroyed. 
It is the  reason why pandas are endangered.
